Parents-Internet risks are just a link away (News Item)

At a major conference today on Internet safety, Brian Lenihan T.D., Minister for State at the Department of Health and Children, called for parents to take a special interest in their children's on-line activities.
"Much of the content arriving at your child's PC" he said, "cannot be edited, censored or filtered in the way that older, physical media could." Government, service providers and technology itself all had an important role but these roles were not a substitute for parents taking responsibility themselves.
