Council of Europe launches online third edition of its Handbook on Internet Literacy to mark Safer Internet Day (News Item)

To mark Safer Internet Day, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Ms. Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, launched the Council's new online third edition of its Handbook on Internet Literacy, building on the success of the Council's online game for children "Through the Wild Web Woods".
"The well-being and best interests of children on the Internet are of paramount importance for the Council of Europe. We believe that every effort should be made to protect and preserve their dignity, physical and moral integrity, security and privacy in online environments, " stated the Deputy Secretary General.
